The "anti-mirror effect" is a new landscape of the perfect lens that can be employed to make multiple objects appear like only one in the far field, leading to practical applications in lighting systems.

April 23, 2010: Our review article, "Transformation optics and metamaterials", was published in Nature Materials. <PDF> Copyright NPG

Mar 16, 2010: Our NJP paper on "Electromagnetic gateway" was chosen to be a part of a special collection: The NJP Best of 2009, comprising about 60 papers (4-6 papers in each of NJP's 14 fields) out of about 800 papers publushed in NJP in 2009.

Mar 11, 2010: Our talk on "Non-Euclidean Cloaking for Waves" has been selected in the Image Gallery in March Meeting 2010.

Mar 5, 2010: Our topical review invited by J. Phys. D: Appl. Phys. was published, "Acoustic cloaking and transformation acoustics".

Dec 24, 2009: a preprint of "Transformation optics that mimics the system outside a Schwarzschild black hole" has been posted on arXiv, where we applied the transformation optics to mimic a real black hole system of Schwarzschild form.
